I just signed up to say Im expecting anxiously for the final version of this mod, looks great and will give new life to one of my top three games ever.

I have a question: Is there any known bugs for using this mod with the enhanced OpenGL renderer for Deus Ex? http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/

I have a folder in my bookmarks that have only works in project for Deus Ex, one day I hope to play it with Revision + Shifter + the enhanced OpenGL renderer.

Congrats!

Hi fantasticplastic,

Welcome to our forums! Nice to hear that you liked the demo version. Some areas may not be perfect but trust me, there will be changes for the full version.

Revision should work with the enhanced OpenGL renderer. You just have to modify Revision.ini to make it work correctly. Instructions for this are contained in the demo's readme file. I am using enbseries myself(without the multisampling and other visual effects) and it works perfectly. I dont know about the bugs that OpenGL may cause when using it with revision but there shouldn't be any problems. Remember that Revision only changes the .dx map files, not your system files. I think Björn can give you some more detail once he sees this topic smile

Hello fantasticplastic, nice to see you here.

Indeed, it is like Trasher said. happy

The enhanced OpenGL render shouldn't be a problem, just use it as you would use it with regular DX with one exception, the file to modify is Revision.ini and not DeusEx.ini.

When I get more free time I will code up the quick patch utility Revision&Shifter fix. That will make Revision 100% compatible with Shifter.

I forgot to say: I didnt try the demo. The reasons are:

1.- I dont need to try it, I KNOW is great.

2.- I want my first experience with revision to be a full one.

That is why Im preparing myself. Once Revision is finished I will install all the modifications.

But of course, if yoy need some testers I can help, specially since I will try the game in special circumstances (Using Crossover on OS X)

Good thinking, this way it'll be full experience. Although people who played all of the demos will get a new experience in the final one.

At the moment we dont recruit more testers. I got another applier few days ago so now there arent any spots left. But what the heck, one more tester shouldnt hurt.

This is full enough for now, I love playing it, biggrin

And now I have the capability to play it with NO LAG! biggrin

lol, may be full enough for you. But still I have to agree with fantasticplastic.

Anyway, just to let you know, for the final, there will be many changes from the demo version. Even if you have played all of the demos. You will get a new feel when you play the full version smile
